Our story begins in Minden, Nevada in 1977 when Joyce’s Fine Jewelry was originally opened as an antique store by Joyce and Jerry Neddenriep. As the needs of the business, as well as the clientele changed, so did the merchandise and it was not long after opening that Joyce’s was in the business of offering the Carson Valley fine jewelry.   In the early 1990’s ownership of the business moved into the hands of Norie Jenkin’s, daughter of Jerry & Joyce, Norie is currently the President of Joyce’s Fine Jewelry. Norie has kept the tradition of Joyce’s alive with her keen ability to adapt and transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. Norie was born and raised in the Carson Valley, 4th Generation to be exact. She graduated from Douglas High School, as well as the University of Nevada, Reno. She has received many accolades and awards from the community, she is on the Hall of Fame at Douglas High School, her business has won awards from Main Street Gardnerville, as well as The Spotlight Award from Douglas County.  In 2003, Krissie Thornhill, daughter of Norie Jenkins, created a presence inside Joyce’s with her interior design business, Designing Images, LLC. Krissie to this day has an active roll in the business development, advertising, and merchandising of Joyce’s. She has also branched off with her husband Brent Haliwell with their boutique construction company Haliwell Homes, implementing her designs for her clients.  She has also won consecutive awards for Best Interior Designer in the Carson Valley, and Best Contractor for Haliwell Homes. In 2017, Joyce’s Fine Jewelry entered into it’s 40th year of business in the Carson Valley, 8 years later we are going strong with 48 years of business in the Carson Valley. In 2027 Joyce’s will be entering its 50th year of servicing the Carson Valley, we look forward to celebrating that with all our clients!
